Wedding Albums

The wedding album is one of the most beautiful and fun part of the wedding. A lot of planning and preparation goes into making a great wedding album – whether it is the standard one or anything unique. The way you record your most unforgettable moments would depend on many factors. The following guide would provide you a suitable checklist:

1. The couple’s background – the wedding album should ideally start with some baby photos of the bride and the groom. The background always looks great and very interesting to those who see the album – besides this is a great chronicle for your children. The photographs should follow the life line – like going to school, college, prom, adulthood and then some pre-marriage photographs.

2. The week/ day before the wedding – the album should have some of the last bachelor’s party photographs, and last hen party. Something that would symbolize the “last days” of unwedded “bliss”. It could even contain some photographs before reaching the Church.

3. The wedding photographs – the walk down the aisle, the exchange of vows, the exchange of rings, the first kiss as husband and wife – so many things are there to be captured here. The photographer should be specifically instructed to take snaps from a number of angles. It would be good if you hire a professional (and digital equipment) photographer so he/ she would be able to do justice to the task. Remember, these photographs would not be redeemable and if these are taken badly, your album would suffer.

4. The post-wedding photographs – these photographs would involve the whole family. Remember to inform your friends are relatives about the time of the proposed photo session, so they would not wander away during the shoot time. Ensure that the relatives are all there because this is a great time to have some whole-family photographs taken. Remember to take some special photographs with your parents – as this day is one of the very important days in their lives as well.

5. The reception photographs – here the photographer should be informed of the special events planned so he/ she would be prepared to take snaps at the occasions – such as the parents’ toast for the bride and the groom, the bride dance with her father, the first bride and groom dance, etc. It would also be nice if the photographer follows the couple around and shoots a few impromptu photographs.

6. Special bride and groom photographs – anytime during the wedding and the reception, the photographer should hold a small mini-shoot with the brie and the groom.
