Beach weddings are today extremely popular for many reasons.
Some love the fun and relaxed theme it involves; others find it
highly economical. Most of the people however, find the beach
weddings utterly romantic and sentimental. The moment one thinks
about a beach wedding, one would think of love and fun.
The Things You Need To Plan
There are a few things that would need to be considered when
you are thinking of a beach wedding:
1. Weather constraints – since this wedding would take
place outdoors, it would need to be solemnized either in the early
morning hours, followed by a lunch wedding reception or late afternoon
followed by the dinner wedding reception. Either way, a great
deal of attention should go into ensuring that there would be
no rain on that day; also that the wedding ceremony would be finished
before or after the sun is overhead so the guests would not be
uncomfortable.
2. Wind direction/ problems – the venue on the beach would
need to be carefully investigated. It could be very much possible
that the wind would stir up the sand high enough to inconvenience
the guests and even stop the ceremony. You would need to find
out if there is any possibility of strong wind; if yes, what direction
it would blow and then make the necessary arrangements to protect
yourself and the guests from any inconvenience. The photographer
should be informed about the direction of the wind as well, or
the flying sand may interfere with the wedding photographs.
3. Beach insects – wherever you would choose you would
definitely find some type of insects on the beach. Do find out
how harmful these could be and what are the major repellants that
work with these insects. Ensure that you could keep them out of
your zone as much as possible. In case it is not possible (mosquitoes,
flies, etc) make appropriate arrangements to have the guests and
the food well protected.
4. Seating arrangements – the sand is not very comfortable
to set chairs on. So, you would need to make appropriate arrangements
for your guests to be comfortable during the ceremony.
5. Safety measures – since the wedding is on the beach,
people would definitely be tempted to take a dip in the water.
Kids would most probably prefer the water to the wedding. Make
sure you have made sufficient arrangements to ensure that both
the adults and the children are safe while bathing in the sea.
